FOR TEAMS & ORGANIZATIONS
Your housing department, without the overhead.
The Hockey House becomes your organization’s exclusive housing partner. We buy, renovate, furnish, and manage homes near your rink, so your staff can focus on hockey.
The partnership at a glance
What we provide
- No capital required. Your organization never buys, finances, or renovates property.
- Homes built around your roster. We acquire and stabilize properties based on your team’s specific housing needs.
- Individual player leases. Each player and their parent or guardian signs a season lease directly with us, so your staff isn’t managing rent.
- Full property management. Maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and inspections are handled by us, at our cost.
- All-inclusive rent. Utilities and Wi-Fi are included in every player’s monthly rent.
- Staff housing for coaches and staff can be allocated as needed.
- Performance amenities in every home: shooting bay, gym, sauna, cold plunge, and more.
What your team commits
- A 36-month agreement naming The Hockey House as your exclusive housing partner, renewable for as long as it works for both sides.
- A committed number of players each season. Per-player rent is based on how many players you commit.
- Existing housing or billet stipends are applied toward each player’s rent.
- Players 18 and older. Hockey House homes do not house minors. Teams may optionally assign a house parent from their staff, or we can provide a screened, background-checked property manager.
- Signing at least six months before the season to allow time for acquisition and renovation.
Built for the realities of a hockey season
- Season occupancy: August through April, with leases rolling month-to-month through the playoffs until your season ends.
- Trades & call-ups: an incoming player simply takes over the departing player’s spot. No vacancy, no new paperwork for your staff.
- Off-season: no summer lease required, and your team keeps first rights to the homes for summer camps and training.
- Inspections: every home is inspected at the start and end of each season. Damage is covered by each player’s security deposit.
Team FAQ
Does our organization have to invest any money?
No. The Hockey House funds the purchase, renovation, and furnishing of every home. Your organization holds no ownership, deed, or mortgage, and carries no property-management costs.
How much is rent per player?
Rent depends on your market and the number of players your team commits. Any housing or billet stipend you already offer is applied toward it. We’ll put together a custom proposal for your organization.
Can we still use billet families?
Absolutely. Billet families are a great part of hockey. The Hockey House fills the gap when there aren’t enough billets for every player, or for older players who need more independence.
Who handles maintenance and emergencies?
We do. The Hockey House handles all maintenance, repairs, and property management arrangements and costs.
Can coaches or staff live in the homes?
Yes. Staff housing can be allocated as needed, and a coach or staff member can serve as the house parent.
